Dispatcher Opening

The Bremer County Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications for a full-time and part-time position for 2nd shift Dispatcher. The Bremer County Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications for the position of Deputy Sheriff. Payroll/AP Clerk

The Bremer County Auditor’s Office is seeking applications for the position of Payroll/AP Auditor’s Office Clerk with potential for growth. The position is responsible for processing bi-weekly payroll, accounts payable as well as numerous other duties of the County Auditor’s Office.

The Bremer County Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications for the position of 2nd/3rd shift male Jailer. Requirements for employment:
No person shall be recruited, selected or appointed to serve as a Jail Administrator or Jailer unless the person:

  1. Is 18 years of age or older.
  2. Is able to read and write in English.
  3. Is of good moral character as determined by a thorough background investigation including a fingerprint search conducted of local, state, and national fingerprint files.
  4. Is not by reason of conscience or belief opposed to the use of force, when appropriate or necessary to fulfill the person’s duties.
  5. Has the ability to perform the essential elements of the position as defined in department job specifications.
  6. Is an appropriate candidate for employment as demonstrated by qualified psychological screening.

The PHN is responsible for administering vaccines, communicable disease investigations, planning, foot cares, health promotion, and public health education. Applicants must be a graduate of an accredited nursing school and currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Iowa. Two years of experience in public health is preferred. 

Salary: $24.00-$30.00/hour
Work Hours: Monday-Friday 08:00-16:30 (up to 25 hours/week)

BREMER COUNTY SANITARY LANDFILL
Part-Time Assistant to Landfill Manager/Driver
Bremer County is accepting applications for the position of Landfill Assistant.  This is a part time position with flexible hours that vary according to demand.  This employee will work independently, or as part of a crew, operating but not limited to a hook truck, dump truck, wheel loader, farm tractor with three point mower and perform routine maintenance on the equipment, fences, buildings and grounds.  Also will include some scale house duties.

Applicant must have a high school diploma or equivalent; class B Commercial Driver’s License with air brakes, at least two years experience involving the operation of heavy equipment, ability to perform under adverse weather conditions and maintain an effective working relationship with fellow employees and the public.

BREMER COUNTY COMMUNITY BASED SERVICES
Residential Specialists I & II
The Bremer County Community Based Services Department is seeking applicants for the positions of Residential Specialist I & II.  The Residential Specialist I & II provides support to individuals with intellectual disabilities, brain injuries, and mental illnesses within the community. Duties include, but are not limited to: providing transportation, supports to cook, clean, complete laundry, provide activity, medication delivery, monitor safety and health practices, money management, completion of necessary forms and reports, and performing additional tasks as assigned by the Program Supervisor.
