BREMER COUNTY CONSERVATION
Seasonal Park Worker

The Bremer County Conservation Board is seeking candidates to fill 1 Seasonal Park Maintenance position.  The selected individuals will assist in a variety of tasks associated with the management of parks, wildlife areas, and trails managed by the Bremer County Conservation Board.  This position may require some weekend, night, and holiday hours.

QUALIFICATIONS:  Must be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license.  Successful candidate shall pass background check as well as a physical and drug screen.  Ability to routinely lift 75 pounds and work in all weather conditions.  Ability to operate and assist with the maintenance of various outdoor equipment.

DESCRIPTION:  Seasonal position under general supervision of the Director and direct supervision of the Natural Resource Technicians.  Performs mowing, weed eating, cleaning of facilities, facility and park maintenance, public relations, interaction with park visitors and other jobs as assigned.  May assist the county Naturalists with outdoor education programming as needed.  Preferred experience in operation of equipment such as mowers, trimmers, skid loaders, tractors, chain saws and hand tools.  Will work a non-standard work week with some night, weekend and holiday work required.  This is a seasonal position running from approximately April to October and will not exceed 40 hours per week.

WAGE: $12-$13/hr. 40 hours per week.

BREMER COUNTY ATTORNEY’S OFFICE
Victim/Witness Coordinator

Grant funded position. 20-30 hours/week. Responsibilities include Grant update and writing, assisting victims and witnesses in preparation for trial, services, and restitution.  Compensation is $15-20/Hour, depending on experience. Assist and educate victims within the Criminal Justice System.  Register victims for notification of the prosecution process.  Provide information to the victim about the Crime Victim Compensation Program.  Refer victims to support agencies.  Prepare reports of daily contact, as well as year-end contacts, monthly expenses and preparation of the annual grant application.  Assist in preparation activities that directly benefit the interests of a victim at trial and other judicial hearings. 

QUALIFICATIONS:  Associate degree in criminology or a related social field or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or equivalent related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

BREMER COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
Jailer Opening

The Bremer County Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications for the position of 2nd/3rd shift male Jailer. BREMER COUNTY CUSTOMER CONVENIENCE CENTER
Part-Time Assistant to Landfill Manager/Driver
Bremer County is accepting applications for the position of Landfill Assistant.  This is a part time position with flexible hours that vary according to demand.  This employee will work independently, or as part of a crew, operating but not limited to a hook truck, dump truck, wheel loader, farm tractor with three point mower and perform routine maintenance on the equipment, fences, buildings and grounds.  Also will include some scale house duties.

Applicant must have a high school diploma or equivalent; class B Commercial Driver’s License with air brakes, at least two years' experience involving the operation of heavy equipment, ability to perform under adverse weather conditions and maintain an effective working relationship with fellow employees and the public.

BREMER COUNTY COMMUNITY BASED SERVICES
Residential Specialists I & II
The Bremer County Community Based Services Department is seeking applicants for the positions of Residential Specialist I & II.  The Residential Specialist I & II provides support to individuals with intellectual disabilities, brain injuries, and mental illnesses within the community. Duties include, but are not limited to: providing transportation, supports to cook, clean, complete laundry, provide activity, medication delivery, monitor safety and health practices, money management, completion of necessary forms and reports, and performing additional tasks as assigned by the Program Supervisor.
