Laborer
The Bremer County Highway Department is seeking applicants to fill a Laborer position. Applicants should have some knowledge of road maintenance and operating construction equipment. Successful applicant must possess a valid Class A CDL with air brake certification. Position is subject to DOT drug testing and participation in the FMCSA Clearinghouse. BREMER COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT
Deputy Administrator
The Bremer County Health Department is seeking applicants for the position of a full-time Deputy Administrator. The BCHD Deputy Administrator performs Core Public Health functions and essential services to Bremer County residents, and performs duties of Administrator in Administrator’s absence as necessary to maintain operations of the department.  The applicant must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Iowa.  A minimum of two years of experience in Public Health preferred.

BREMER COUNTY SANITARY LANDFILL
Part Time – On Call Assistant to Landfill Manager

Bremer County is accepting applications for the position of Landfill Assistant.  This is a part time – on call position, with hours seasonally varying according to demand, from four to twenty or more per week.  Will work independently, or as part of a crew, operating but not limited to a hook truck, dump truck, wheel loader, farm tractor with three point mower and perform routine maintenance on the equipment, fences, buildings and grounds.  Also will include some scale house duties.

Applicant must have a high school diploma or equivalent; class B Commercial Driver’s License with air brakes, at least two years experience involving the operation of heavy equipment, ability to perform under adverse weather conditions and maintain an effective working relationship with fellow employees and the public.

BREMER COUNTY COMMUNITY BASED SERVICES
Residential Specialists I & II
The Bremer County Community Based Services Department is seeking applicants for the positions of Residential Specialist I & II.  The Residential Specialist I & II provides support to individuals with intellectual disabilities, brain injuries, and mental illnesses within the community. Duties include, but are not limited to: providing transportation, supports to cook, clean, complete laundry, provide activity, medication delivery, monitor safety and health practices, money management, completion of necessary forms and reports, and performing additional tasks as assigned by the Program Supervisor.

The BCHD Diabetes Prevention Coordinator Intern implements the CDC Diabetes Prevention Recognition Program, supervises daily operations related to the lifestyle program, provides support and guidance to program participants, and implements standard curriculum for the lifestyle program to ensure that the program achieves quality performance outcomes.
