What You Need to Know
1. The CDC recommends that everyone ages 5 years and older get their primary series of COVID-19 vaccine, and everyone ages 12 years and older also receive a booster dose. Some people can receive two booster doses.
2. People who are moderately or severely immunocompromised have specific COVID-19 vaccine recommendations, including recommendations for a booster. Learn more about COVID-19 vaccine recommendations for people who are moderately or severely immunocompromised.
3. The following COVID-19 vaccine and booster recommendations may be updated as CDC continues to follow data related to vaccine effectiveness and safety, waning immunity, and protection against variants.

Approved or Authorized Vaccines
Three COVID-19 vaccines are authorized or approved in the United States to prevent COVID-19. Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna are COVID-19 mRNA vaccines and are preferred. You may get Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen COVID-19 vaccine in some situations.

When Are You Up to Date?
You are up to date with your COVID-19 vaccines when you have received all doses in the primary series and one booster when eligible, as shown here.

Requesting Immunization Records or Replacing Lost COVID-19 Vaccine Cards
Complete and submit an immunization record request form to the Bremer County Health Department by following the instructions within the form.  Please allow 3-5 working days to process the record request.
