4/15/24
Paving in Rustic Hill Subdivision and Winding Ridge Rd. is tentatively planned to start early next week. The road will be closed but the contractor will work with residents to maintain access to your property. The first week will be milling off the old asphalt, followed by placing the new pavement. The whole project should take approximately 3-4 weeks if weather cooperates.

3/22/24
The bridge on C50 over Crane Creek is now planned to start April 1st. The road will be closed for the duration of the project.



2/20/24
Crews will begin replacing the bridge on 195th St, west of Elk Ave., tomorrow (2/21/24). They will be preparing this and another bridge for a contractor to come in and place during the middle of April. The bridge is expected to be closed for approximately 2 months.


PUBLIC NOTICE OF STORM WATER DISCHARGE

Bremer County plans to submit a Notice of Intent to the Iowa Department of Natural Resources to be covered under the NPDES General Permit No. 2 “Storm Water Discharge Associated With Industrial Activity for Construction Activities.”  The storm water will be from a Construction Project located in the SE¼ & SW¼, Sec. 21, T-91N/R-12W & the NE¼ & NW¼, Sec. 28, T-91N/R-12W.

Storm water will be discharged from 1 point source and will be discharged to the following stream:  Crane Creek.

Comments may be submitted to the Storm Water Discharge Coordinator, Iowa Department of Natural Resources, Environmental Protection Division, 502 E. 9th Street, Des Moines, IA 50319-0034.  The public may review the Notice of Intent from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, at the above address after it has been received by the department.
